Senator Reed played a vital role in the Reauthorization of the AT Act, a bill which he co-sponsored with Senators Judd Gregg from New Hampshire and Tom Harkin from Iowa. This legislation provides funds, improves access and requires better systems for providing assistive technology to persons with disabilities to help them perform day-to-day tasks and activities. The passage of this legislation now enables the partners of ATAP to continue their important work of increasing the awareness of the benefits of AT services to persons with disabilities.
